Create a colorful paper lantern or a whimsical folding fan inspired by Mandarin Oriental, Boston's signature fan from the Peabody Essex Museum.
TASTING
Flavors of Tea
Discover the flavors of China by tasting an assortment of hot and iced teas as well as luscious Mandarin oranges.
INTERACTIVE ARTIST DEMONSTRATION
Chinese Brush Painting
Artist Yahong Shen demonstrates how traditional Chinese painting achieves its unique style through the composition of painted objects, blank spaces, calligraphy, poetry and artists' seals. Also, participate in a painting activity suitable for all ages.

Barefoot Books Presents: Art, Culture and Story
Explore Chinese culture with a selection of books available for purchase from Barefoot Books.

Storytelling & Tai Chi
Storyteller Li Min Mo shares Chinese culture through a series of lively short stories, her own family's oral stories and personal accounts of growing up in China. Li Min Mo also leads participants in Tai Chi movements as she discusses this practice.

Lion Dance by Gund Kwok
Experience a heart-pounding lion dance performance by Gund Kwok Asian Women Lion Dance Troupe. This dance is customarily performed during the Chinese New Year to bring prosperity, good luck and peace.
