PEM and the city of Salem welcome the sixth-annual Massachusetts Poetry Festival.

Kick off the festival with two world-class poets with powerful voices. Pulitzer Prize winning American poet Philip Levine is known for examining hardship in poems of working-class Detroit. Britain's Poet Laureate Carol Ann Duffy, called a "superstar" by The Guardian, is the first woman, first Scot and first openly LGBT poet to hold the position.
