Now a 3,600-acre nature preserve, Dogtown Common was an active settlement in the early 1700s. Join Jane Winchell, The Sarah Fraser Robbins Director of the Art & Nature Center, and explore the ghost town’s local legends and natural wonders, including a series of large boulders inscribed with message carved during the Great Depression.

Beginners and experienced dyers can enjoy the process of working with fiber dyes on silk with internationally acclaimed batik artist Mary Edna Fraser, whose work is on view in Polar Attractions. Participants use wax, brushes and other materials to create their own scarf.
