Explore music from the 18th century to the present with an unusual bouquet of instruments. Traditional offerings by Louis Spohr, Giorgis Koutsourelis, and Felice De Giardini open the program, which continues with Andre Jolivet’s Pastorales de Noel, Alan Hovhaness’ Upon Enchanted Ground and Stefan Hakenberg’s Five Scenes for Vibraphone.
Wedded Bliss, The Marriage of Art and Ceremony will be open before the evening’s performance. This special exhibition, on view through September 14, features works by Pablo Picasso, Marc Chagall and Winslow Homer together with an array of objects exploring the wedding as inspiration for art.
