Do you talk to art? Does it ever talk back? What kind of museum tour asks you to consider questions like these? A PEM docent-led tour, of course.
Spend a wonderful winter weekend at TourFest, an annual event that offers a great way to view the museum's collection with fresh eyes. Far from a "we talk, you listen" exercise, PEM tours are as entertaining as they are educational. You will be introduced to fabulous objects you've never noticed before or learn surprising new things about familiar favorites. You will discover the emotion, adventure and challenges of the maritime experience. Or why some artists "supersize" their work, while others work in miniature.
TourFest offers a smorgasbord of nine tours over two days. The 45-minute gallery explorations, developed and led by the museum's docent council, are meant to appeal to a wide range of interests. You're sure to find one (or more!) that piques your curiosity.
