Salem, Mass.— On January 23rd, Peggy Fogelman, Director of Education and Interpretation for the Peabody Essex Museum, will be honored with an “Art to Life Curatorial Award” by Art and Living magazine at the annual LA Art Show. Fogelman is being honored in the category of “Contemporary Exhibition – Multimedia” for her work on the recent exhibit Zoopsia, which featurednew works by Los Angeles-based contemporary artist Tim Hawkinson, at the J. Paul Getty Museum. Prior to beginning her work PEM in August 2007, Fogelman served as Assistant Director and Head of Education and Interpretive Programs for the J. Paul Getty Museum.

At PEM, Fogelman is responsible for the museum's many successful education programs, such as Atrium Alive weekends and other exhibition-related activities and family programs. Her team is also responsible for the award-winning Art & Nature Center and its inspirational exhibitions and events, which invite children and their families to discover connections between art, culture, and nature.
