Natural Histories,
Photographs by Barbara Bosworth

Barbara Bosworth chronicles the joy of youth and the wistfulness of aging, the
nature of memory and the passage of time. Throughout her pictures, radiant
light appears — in the sky, a string of Christmas lights or a jar full of fireflies.
She captures the oldest and youngest members of her family as they interact
with the natural world around her childhood home in Novelty, Ohio, and other
places of personal significance, reminding us that identity is shaped by the
people we hold dear, as well as the places and things that surround us.
