Using a global perspective and captivating works of art, the Peabody Essex Museum specializes in creating meaningful connections between classroom content and students' daily lives. School programs enrich classroom activities and are aligned with state and district-wide guidelines, including the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks for Art, English Language Arts, History and Social Science. We've developed student programs that support your classroom teaching by:

Creative Instruction
All K-12 student programs are developed by curriculum specialists and presented by trained museum volunteers who employ multicultural and multidisciplinary instruction. For selected programs, we also offer interactive, hands-on workshops that focus on the creative process of viewing and talking about art, and provide experience with art materials and art making.
