Grab a drink and a friend and join us as we explore the art of floral design! Create beautiful bouquets under the expert guidance of Salem’s Helios Floral.

Floral arrangements are common subjects within still life paintings, including Renaissance masterpieces featured in the exhibition Saints, Sinners, Lovers, and Fools: 300 Years of Flemish Masterworks. Discover what goes into creating a beautiful arrangement and make your own bouquet to take home!

Create Nights are led by a PEM educator or local guest artist.

      About the artist

      Keelia Gardiner

Keelia Gardiner, owner and creative director of Helios Floral, is from Denver, Colorado, and began working with flowers in the summer of 2015. Her original love is the garden, and all of its layers of intrigue. With a degree in biology, she has always been unfailingly fascinated by how intricately organized yet unruly plants are. In October 2018, she moved to Salem, where she is constantly in wonder of the lush and diverse New England flora — though she does miss the abundant Colorado sunshine in the winters! When she is not in the studio, you can find her elbow-deep in her garden or sifting through racks for treasure at the local thrift stores.

      Helios Floral

Helios Floral is a boutique floral design studio in Salem specializing in weddings and other celebrations. The studio is available by appointment and for workshops, and serves all of New England and beyond. Helios designs are inspired by seasonality, intricacies in color and the movements of the landscape.
