You can join or renew your membership online, in person or by contacting the Membership team at membership@pem.org or 978-542-1641.
Your membership starts the day you purchase it and is active for 12 months.
Senior and Individual members receive one membership card. All other levels can receive up to two membership cards.
You are automatically signed up to receive member emails once you join! These emails will keep you up to date with PEM's curator-led tours, monthly museum updates and invitations to special member events.
All children under the age of 16 receive free admission to PEM.
Advanced registration is not required for general admission. Your membership card can be used as your ticket for the day. For ease of access, you can choose to reserve your tickets prior to your visit.
Yes! You can purchase a gift membership, at any level, to give the gift of PEM to your friends and family. Learn more about our membership levels.
PEM does not offer discounted memberships at this time.
For admission to PEM, membership cards are preferred, but not required. If you do not have your card when you visit the museum, representatives at the Admissions desk would be happy to verify your active membership in our database by looking up your name. For Sponsor-level members and above, membership cards are needed to access North American Reciprocal Museums (NARM) and Council of American Maritime Museums (CAMM) institutions.

Yes. All memberships are either fully or partially tax-deductible. Specific tax deductibility can be found above and will be stated on your membership acknowledgement letter.
