This event is part of PEM Reads.
Meet local author Daniel A. Gagnon! His nonfiction book A Salem Witch: The Trial, Execution, and Exoneration of Rebecca Nurse vividly recreates 17th-century Salem and challenges previous interpretations of Rebecca Nurse's life and the Salem Witch Trials.
In 1692, witchcraft accusations spread from Salem Village across Massachusetts, ensnaring innocent people from all levels of society. One of the most significant and unlikely accusations was leveled against 71-year-old grandmother Rebecca Nurse. Learn about a remarkable woman whose legacy has transformed how the witch trials have been remembered and memorialized.
The book is available for pre-order and can be picked the day of the event by selecting in-store pickup.
PEM Reads offers a place to share ideas about the books we read and how they, as another form of artistic expression, shape our views and invite us to explore other worlds. We hope you’ll join us!
