Join us for an ECOC lecture featuring live birds, led by the married teacher-naturalist team of Mark and Marcia Wilson!
First, noted photojournalist Mark Wilson will recount the stories behind some of his best wildlife photos, taken over 30 years in some surprising places. Wilson will talk about his photo techniques and equipment, the ethics of wildlife photography and staying comfortable and healthy in harsh environments. Aspiring beginner photographers and travel veterans alike will be inspired to assess and improve their own work. Non-photographers get to peek under the lens cap and see how a pro comes up with knock-out photos.
The program will finish with a visit from three live owls introduced by Marcia Wilson, co-founder of the Eyes on Owls educational program.
A book signing of Owling and The Snowy Owl Scientist will follow the program.
A brief meeting of the Essex County Ornithological Club will take place from 7:30-7:45 pm. All are welcome to attend!
This program is made possible by a gift from Tim and Joanie Ingraham in memory of Trustee Emeritus Dorothy (Dotty) Addams Brown.
